Role Summary

The Distribution Operations Specialist supports project coordination, operational improvements, and strategic execution within the Distribution division. This role enables leaders and frontline teams to prioritize adviser, partner, and member results by managing projects, enhancing processes, and driving technology adoption.

Key Duties

  • Lead coordination of projects and strategic initiatives linked to Distribution priorities.
  • Manage project plans, timelines, risk assessments, action items, and stakeholder communications to ensure smooth execution.
  • Collaborate with leaders and cross-functional groups to implement operational enhancements, product launches, and key business programs.
  • Create reports, dashboards, and data insights that facilitate performance tracking, informed decision-making, and ongoing improvements.
  • Promote the use of technology, automation, and AI solutions to boost efficiency and improve team workflows.
  • Work closely across Distribution teams to provide operational assistance, strengthen partnerships, and ensure priority initiatives are delivered successfully.

  • Adept at building trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders and communicating effectively.
  • Keen to maintain project momentum and continuously seek process enhancements through new technologies and automation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A tertiary qualification in business or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Three to four years of experience in project coordination, operations, or business support roles.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with a rapid capacity to learn new systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and effective problem-solving.
  • Confidence using technology, automation, and AI tools to streamline business processes.
  • Experience within financial services or KiwiSaver sectors is advantageous.
