Job description
About the Role
Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a skilled and driven Directorate Manager to lead operational and transformational initiatives across services within the Clinical Support Services Division. This role offers a chance for an accomplished leader to enhance service quality, patient care, and team performance. The initial focus will be on the Radiology and Imaging directorate, which is among the Trust's largest and most dynamic services, covering operational performance, finance, workforce, and quality management.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure delivery of safe, effective, efficient, and financially sustainable services.
- Lead operational management and support strategic plan development consistent with Trust priorities and NHS national objectives.
- Provide visible leadership to operational and administrative teams in partnership with clinical leaders.
- Drive service improvement initiatives, meet performance targets, and manage budgets effectively.
- Develop innovative solutions to respond to evolving patient and service demands.
Additional Opportunities and Scope
While initially concentrating on Radiology and Imaging, there is the potential to expand the role to include leadership of cross-divisional projects, large-scale transformation programmes, and strategic improvements across the wider Clinical Support Services Division. This role is suitable for candidates keen to broaden leadership exposure and contribute significantly to the Trust's major service development efforts.
