About Rodan Energy Solutions
Rodan Energy Solutions Inc. is a leading North American energy services company dedicated to delivering innovative energy solutions that reduce costs and greenhouse gas emissions, support electrification, and improve grid efficiency. With over two decades of experience, Rodan is a trusted partner for major energy users, producers, and utilities across the continent.
Role Overview
We are embarking on a significant growth phase and view partnerships as a fundamental pillar of our go-to-market approach. We seek a Director of Partnership Sales to build and lead a new sales channel focused on strategic partnerships. This role carries substantial responsibility for generating revenue through partner-sourced deals across four key segments: EPCs, OEM hardware providers, data center suppliers, and energy brokers/advisors. As a corporate leadership team member, you will influence long-term market strategies and be directly accountable for deal origination and closure.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and achieve revenue targets through partner-originated deals, managing full deal cycles including co-selling, deal registration, qualification, and executive sponsorship.
- Develop and manage a robust pipeline with disciplined forecasting and clear conversion tracking.
- Recruit, onboard, and activate partners within priority segments while exploring new partnership opportunities.
- Validate and refine Rodan's value propositions with partners, incorporating feedback into product and market strategies.
- Design and implement the partnership program encompassing tiers, incentives, deal registration, margin/referral models, enablement, and governance.
- Build and lead a partnership sales organization by hiring and coaching Partner Sales Managers and establishing operating rhythms such as business and pipeline reviews.
- Develop enabling assets including pitch decks, joint propositions, ROI analyses, playbooks, and co-marketing materials to support partner-led demand generation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Revenue Operations, Engineering, Energy Markets, Legal, and Executive Leadership to rapidly bring partner offerings to market.
Qualifications
- Over 10 years of B2B sales or partnership experience, including at least 5 years in channel/partner sales leadership within energy services, DER/demand response, energy technology, or related infrastructure sectors.
- Proven success in originating and closing seven-figure partner deals, demonstrating strong closing capabilities beyond relationship management.
- Experience building partner programs, channels, or teams from the ground up with demonstrated revenue results.
- Expertise in partner economics for EPCs, OEMs, data center supply chains, or energy advisory channels, with an ability to align incentives effectively.
- Solid understanding of energy markets such as capacity markets, demand response, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and distributed energy resources (DERs), or the aptitude to acquire this knowledge swiftly.
- Strong executive communication skills, comfortable presenting at the C-suite level both internally and with partners.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% within North America.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range: $130,000 to $150,000 CAD.
- Commission potential: $130,000 to $150,000 at plan with uncapped upside tied to partner bookings.
- First-year bonus between $13,000 and $15,000 CAD.
- On-target earnings estimated at $313,000 to $315,000+ in the initial year.
- Profit-sharing plan participation.
- Comprehensive health benefits package.
- Group Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) with employer matching contributions.
- Summer half-day Fridays aligned with Ontario statutory holiday schedule.
- Remote work allowed within North America; location preference Toronto, Ontario.
Culture and Employee Experience
- Recognized as Canada's Top Small & Medium Employer for 2026, reflecting a culture of collaboration, celebration, and community involvement.
- Regular team events including holiday parties, dinners, bowling, go-karting, summer BBQs, and golf tournaments.
- Opportunities for professional growth through lunch-and-learns, education funding, and engaging activities.
- Employee-led initiatives supporting local charities via food drives and fundraisers.
Additional Information
- The hiring process includes a background check covering criminal, credential verification, and possible driving record, as well as professional reference collection.
- Candidates may be asked to complete a practical assignment to showcase their strategic and creative approaches.
- Referral bonuses of CAD $2,500 are available for successful candidate recommendations.
