Job Overview
We are looking for a seasoned purchasing leader to take charge of procurement operations, supplier coordination, cost management, and process improvement. The position supports smooth day-to-day business execution and helps advance broader business growth through a well-run purchasing function.
Responsibilities
- Direct the purchasing department and set clear plans for daily and long-term work.
- Create, roll out, and refine procurement strategies and operating plans.
- Source, assess, and manage suppliers to build a dependable supply base.
- Lead procurement contract discussions and maintain strong supplier partnerships.
- Keep purchasing costs under control while improving efficiency and quality.
- Coordinate purchase execution and monitor delivery timelines based on operational needs.
- Track market shifts and update procurement plans when conditions change.
- Work closely with production, quality, operations, and other teams to keep purchasing aligned with business needs.
- Design, strengthen, and standardize procurement workflows and management systems.
- Supervise, train, and develop the procurement team to raise overall performance.
- Drive procurement-related initiatives and projects through to completion.
- Handle other tasks related to purchasing and procurement as assigned by the company.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree or higher.
- At least 10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a similar area.
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading a procurement team.
- Solid knowledge of procurement workflows, supplier management, and contract administration.
- Strong communication, coordination, and business negotiation abilities.
- Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage projects, and deliver results.
- Comfortable using office software and ERP platforms.
- Well-developed organizational, leadership, and execution skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in procurement for medical devices, medical manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, or a similar industry.
- Experience with international purchasing or managing suppliers across global markets.
- Hands-on involvement in procurement optimization or cost-reduction initiatives.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement management tools.
- Strong commercial negotiation and contract management experience.
- Experience working across departments and leading projects.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving work environment.
- Experience building teams, developing talent, and managing performance.
- Strong business judgment supported by data analysis.
