Role overview
Fujitsu is building a new advisory consulting brand in Europe, Europe Wayfinders, focused on helping clients turn business and management transformation plans into real outcomes. This Director-level position sits at the centre of that growth journey and is based in Germany, the UK, or the Benelux region, with a hybrid working model.
The opportunity is suited to someone who enjoys solving high-stakes digital-era challenges, shaping technology-enabled transformation, and building services in an entrepreneurial environment. In this role, you will help establish and scale the consulting practice while working closely with clients, partners, and internal teams.
What you will do
You will report to a Europe Wayfinders Co-CEO and act as a key link between leadership, customers, partners, and colleagues. The role combines business growth, client delivery, and practice-building responsibilities.
Business development
- Spot opportunities for growth and develop customer relationships that expand market reach and revenue.
- Prepare persuasive proposals and client presentations that generate consulting revenue, either independently or together with the Europe Region team.
- Identify follow-on work and strengthen the pipeline within key accounts.
- Work with consultants and portfolio owners to shape advisory offerings from concept through to market launch.
Client delivery and leadership
- Lead large, complex consulting assignments across multiple disciplines and sectors.
- Provide senior oversight to ensure deliverables are high quality and aligned to client goals.
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and maintain credibility at executive level.
Practice development
- Work with leadership to define and scale the consulting practice, including go-to-market plans, service offerings, thought leadership, and methods.
- Bring together capabilities across Fujitsu to create strong consulting propositions.
- Coach and develop a small team of consultants, encouraging a high-performing and inclusive culture.
- Contribute to internal capability building, innovation, and thought leadership.
Experience and background
Fujitsu is looking for someone who has worked at Director level in a top-tier consultancy, or in a comparable leadership position within a leading technology advisory practice in a services or solutions company. The right candidate will have direct experience leading complex consulting programmes with many stakeholders.
You should also have a strong record of originating high-value advisory work and leading proposal development that has delivered measurable commercial growth. Sector experience in Retail, Manufacturing, including Automotive, or Financial Services is important.
Relevant expertise includes strategic initiatives and go-to-market work in areas such as IT Value Transformation, CXO Advisory, or Data and AI. Strong stakeholder management, influencing skills, and the ability to work effectively with senior decision-makers and complex organisational structures are essential. A collaborative leadership style and the ability to inspire diverse teams are also key.
