Role overview
This is a senior leadership opportunity in Germany focused on shaping the long-term direction of a next-generation cloud platform for the architecture, engineering, construction, and operations (AECO) sector. The role calls for a mix of strategic vision and practical execution to help accelerate the adoption of AI-enabled, data-led ways of working across the built environment.
You will turn market signals, customer input, and technology trends into clear strategic actions, while working closely with product, sales, marketing, customer success, and executive leaders. In addition to setting direction, you will serve as a visible industry representative, building relationships with customers, partners, analysts, and other external stakeholders.
Key accountabilities
- Set and drive the long-range strategy and go-to-market approach for an industry cloud platform, with a focus on growth, competitive distinction, and priority initiatives.
- Use a mix of research, market intelligence, customer feedback, and AI-supported analysis to build recommendations and business cases.
- Influence pricing, packaging, portfolio positioning, and adoption plans so the platform delivers strong customer value and market reach.
- Create executive-ready frameworks, strategic summaries, and decision materials for leadership teams.
- Represent the platform externally and internally as a senior advocate, including customer meetings, partner discussions, analyst engagement, and industry events.
- Work with product teams to keep strategy aligned to customer needs, product capability, and changing market conditions.
- Bring product, sales, marketing, customer success, and corporate strategy together to execute initiatives consistently across functions.
- Lead and coach a strong strategy team, while setting effective working cadences across teams distributed globally.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in strategy, product management, go-to-market, consulting, or a similar leadership track, with substantial exposure to the AEC sector.
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic work that produces measurable business results in complex, matrixed environments.
- Strong knowledge of architecture, engineering, construction, and digital transformation trends in the built environment.
- Background in shaping go-to-market plans, market positioning, pricing, and commercial models for technology products or platforms.
- Solid analytical skills, including experience using data, AI-enabled tools, and cloud technologies to guide decisions.
- Proven success working with executives, customers, and partners as a trusted advisor and credible industry voice.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities, with the skill to simplify complex topics for different audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Strategy, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Benefits
- Competitive pay aligned to experience and location.
- Annual bonus potential tied to performance.
- Equity or stock grant participation, where eligible.
- Broad health and wellness coverage.
- Flexible, collaborative international work setting.
- Opportunity to lead strategic work with global influence.
- Room for professional growth in an innovative, technology-focused organization.
- Inclusive culture that emphasizes collaboration, diversity, and ongoing learning.
