Role Overview
CSN is looking for a practical, highly driven Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead financial planning and analysis for a fast-growing, acquisition-led business with multiple locations. This senior finance role sits in a private equity-backed environment and supports both organic growth and an active mergers and acquisitions pipeline. The position works closely with the CFO, CEO, Corporate Development, and Operations teams to turn financial data into clear recommendations, strengthen scalable processes, and improve visibility for executive decisions.
The role is very hands-on and suits someone who enjoys building and improving finance operations from the ground up in a dynamic setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the annual budgeting cycle, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial planning.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including variance analysis against budget and the previous year.
- Prepare executive-level reporting and provide insights to the CFO and CEO, including board and private equity materials.
- Support post-acquisition performance monitoring and M&A-related analysis.
- Work with regional operations leaders to improve performance and reduce costs.
- Create and refine scalable FP&A processes, introduce automation, and strengthen reporting structures.
- Build KPIs, dashboards, and performance scorecards for the business.
- Assist with capital planning, capex review, and investment assessments.
- Deliver cash flow forecasts and working capital analysis.
- Lead, coach, and strengthen the FP&A team as it expands.
- Maintain strong governance, consistency, and data integrity across finance processes.
- Provide leadership to direct reports and help shape the team as the organization grows.
Requirements
- CPA certification, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification, is required.
- 8-12+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership in FP&A.
- Experience in a private equity-backed, high-growth business is preferred.
- Background in M&A and multi-location operations is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to design processes and scale finance operations in a growing company.
- Strong advanced Excel skills and solid financial modelling capability.
- Experience using ERP platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics and BI tools such as Power BI.
What We Offer
- A collaborative and fast-moving corporate environment.
- The chance to lead and develop a high-performing FP&A team.
- Opportunities for professional growth and ongoing development.
- A competitive compensation and benefits package.
- Work that can have a meaningful impact on a growing organization.
Career Path
As the company continues to grow, this role is expected to open the door to additional opportunities and leadership progression in the future.
