About the Role
This opportunity is presented on behalf of a partner company seeking a Director of Experience & Merchandising based in the United States. The position holds strategic responsibility for defining digital customer experiences and merchandising tactics that enhance engagement, brand expansion, and revenue growth.
The Director will lead cross-disciplinary teams in designing seamless, user-centric ecommerce workflows and powerful digital platforms. The role requires a blend of creativity, data analysis, technical acumen, and strategic business planning aimed at elevating online customer journeys.
This leader will guide initiatives towards digital transformation with goals to boost product findability, improve conversion metrics, and strengthen customer retention. It provides a platform to innovate ecommerce solutions within a supportive and growth-focused work culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and direct merchandising and user experience strategies across ecommerce channels to increase engagement, enhance ease of use, and optimize conversion rates.
- Lead, coach, and nurture cross-functional groups including UX designers, merchandisers, and product content teams.
- Construct and oversee digital experience plans aligning customer requirements, business goals, and technology capabilities.
- Manage ecommerce merchandising approaches involving navigation, search functionality, category structuring, and product showcasing.
- Promote ongoing performance improvements through A/B testing, personalization, analytics, and AI-informed insights.
- Enhance SEO, content discovery, customer journey flows, and product experiences via data-driven methods.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and business units to ensure effective product launches and digital positioning.
- Utilize customer analytics, journey mapping, and usability assessments to identify growth and innovation avenues.
- Oversee vendor relationships and aid the deployment of scalable ecommerce technologies.

Required Qualifications
- 7 to 10+ years of leadership experience in digital commerce focusing on ecommerce, customer acquisition, and loyalty programs.
- Minimum 5 years designing, executing, and managing expansive digital marketing campaigns.
- At least 3 years’ experience conducting A/B tests and implementing personalization initiatives.
- Proficiency with enterprise ecommerce platforms such as Adobe Commerce, Shopify, SAP Commerce Cloud, or equivalents.
- Track record of driving revenue growth in large-scale B2B ecommerce settings.
- Experience building digital analytics frameworks and leveraging data to inform strategic choices.
- Strong command of UX principles, customer journey architecture, merchandising strategies, and techniques to enhance conversion.
- Demonstrated capability to inspire, develop, and lead productive teams.
- Innovative and customer-centric approach combined with robust problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, coordination, and organizational abilities.
