Role overview

SBH Fashion is seeking an experienced Photoshop artist for an ongoing freelance assignment supporting an apparel client. The work is based fully onsite in New York City, five days per week, and is expected to start as soon as possible. This is a long-running contract with no fixed end date.

Compensation

The role pays between $33 and $40 per hour, depending on years of experience.

What the role involves

The main focus of this position is to retouch images and prepare templates for the Sports Division. The team supplies product imagery for activewear and outerwear across different teams, so fast turnaround, accuracy, and dependable follow-through are essential.

The successful candidate should be comfortable taking direction, working carefully through assignments, and maintaining a high standard of visual consistency across a large volume of files.

Required capabilities

• Advanced Photoshop retouching with strong command of channels, masks, curves, and layered files.
• Experience handling apparel-focused retouching work.
• Ability to match colors accurately, composite imagery, retouch skin, and clean up product images.
• A detail-first, organized, and methodical working style.
• Consistent image quality and an efficient, reliable workflow.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams at different levels.
• Comfort managing clean file structures and organized production workflows.
• Capacity to handle a high volume of work without losing accuracy.
• Working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Familiarity with Bridge, Microsoft Office, and Apple software.

Work arrangement

This is an in-office role in the New York City metropolitan area, scheduled for five days per week.
