What this role involves
The Digital Products Consultant will own the full architecture and solution design for Digital Core and platform products. The role is responsible for aligning solutions with business goals and recognised industry practices, while turning business needs into scalable, easy-to-use digital experiences.
You will operate in an Agile setting and apply knowledge of microservices, ERP, and e-commerce to improve platform performance and usability. The role requires close collaboration with multiple teams and strong influence skills to help solve complex challenges, improve delivery, and encourage shared learning and innovation.
Key responsibilities
- Work with product owners, business leaders, and engineers to gather, document, and communicate requirements for platforms and applications, ensuring the outcome is practical and user focused.
- Design scalable architecture using functional and non-functional requirements, balancing performance, security, maintainability, and business priorities while following global architecture standards.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, enterprise architects, and data architects to keep digital solutions aligned with the wider technical roadmap and integrated across platforms.
- Lead delivery of digital initiatives from start to finish, including planning timelines and budgets, managing stakeholder expectations, and coordinating with regional and APAC HUB teams to produce artefacts such as wireframes, workflow diagrams, interactive mock-ups, and prototypes.
- Run local usability testing under Regional HUB governance to confirm that solutions meet user experience expectations and business requirements, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Coach and support junior colleagues while continually reviewing existing architectures to improve efficiency, scalability, and alignment with business strategy.
Required background
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a similar discipline.
- Practical experience with microservices, ERP systems, and e-commerce platforms.
- Ability to create clear architecture models and convert business objectives into scalable, user-centred solutions.
- Solid experience working in Agile teams, including use of SCRUM practices and related delivery tools.
- Strong analytical ability for solving complex problems and working effectively across different teams.
- Comfort with learning new technologies quickly and adapting to changing priorities and team environments.
- Good understanding of business operations and strategy, with the ability to influence decisions and shape product direction.
- Experience with financial planning systems or ERP/financial systems is a strong advantage.
