Role overview

This entry-level, hands-on digital marketing position supports the planning, launch, optimization, and scaling of paid media campaigns across major platforms. The focus is on paid search and paid social programs spanning Google, Bing, Meta, TikTok, and Pinterest.

Work arrangement

This role is based in Northbrook, IL. It requires onsite work at the Crate HQ office from Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.

Key responsibilities

  • Help with the daily buildout, launch process, and quality checks for digital campaigns, including search, shopping, PMAX, and paid social image and video ads.
  • Keep campaign tracking links, naming standards, and audience targeting accurate and consistent.
  • Review budget pacing every day across active channels so spend stays aligned with monthly targets and efficiency goals.
  • Extract daily and weekly results from ad platforms and web analytics tools such as Google Ads and Adobe Analytics, then translate the data into a clear performance narrative.
  • Monitor creative performance metrics such as CTR, view rate, and conversion rate, while coordinating with technical teams to keep product feed operations running properly.
  • Support lift studies, creative testing, and copy experiments that help improve media investment efficiency.
  • Work with Brand, Creative, eCommerce, and Merchandising teams to keep paid media aligned with inventory and brand priorities.

What you should bring

You should be comfortable working with spreadsheets, investigating performance patterns, and handling detailed quality checks. The role also calls for strong ownership, the ability to adapt quickly, and clear communication of complex data in a simple way.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, or a closely related field.
  • Some relevant exposure through a marketing or data-oriented internship, university agency co-op, or substantial academic project involving digital marketing or analytics.
  • Interest in learning ad platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, or Google Analytics; related certifications are a strong advantage.
  • A collaborative mindset, willingness to keep learning, and openness to coaching and professional development.

Tools and capabilities

Strong spreadsheet skills are essential, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, and data visualization.
