Job description
Role overview
Klue is looking for a Digital Graphic Designer to support its Brand & Design team by producing polished, on-brand visual assets at pace. This contract role is focused on creating materials that help the company present a sharp, consistent visual identity across ads, social content, podcasts, articles, presentations, and other promotional touchpoints.
You will partner closely with the Brand team and incorporate input from Content and other stakeholders to turn briefs into finished assets. The work includes podcast cover artwork, article hero images, infographics, banners, PDFs, and similar marketing collateral. You will work from established brand systems and templates where possible, while also developing new templates and design assets that improve consistency and efficiency. The role also involves using AI-powered tools and workflows to generate visuals and animations, then refining the results into brand-aligned output.
What you will be working on
- Translating briefs, specifications, and feedback into ready-to-publish design assets.
- Creating graphics for articles, resources, banners, PDFs, podcast artwork, infographics, and other promotional materials.
- Maintaining a cohesive visual identity by building on existing artwork and brand structure.
- Improving workflow speed by reusing templates and developing new ones that scale.
- Keeping projects moving through clear communication over Slack and email, plus participation in daily check-ins and ad hoc meetings.
- Using AI-first design tools to generate concepts, test variations, speed up production, and improve final output.
- Continuously building your own skills while contributing to the development of others on the team.
What success looks like
- Assets are delivered on schedule, stay true to the brand, and require very little rework.
- Brand and Content stakeholders can depend on a recognizable and consistent visual style.
- New templates noticeably improve the team’s speed and efficiency.
- Your designs raise the overall quality standard of Klue’s outward-facing materials.
Requirements and qualifications
The ideal candidate is craft-focused, comfortable iterating quickly, and confident working independently as a contractor. You should be proactive, brand-conscious, and able to balance creative thinking with reliable execution.
- A portfolio that clearly shows strength in layout, typography, colour, hierarchy, and composition.
- Strong working knowledge of Figma, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Comfort using existing brand systems, artwork, and templates as a design foundation.
- Clear and proactive communication skills for working with distributed teams through Slack and email.
- Ability to manage your own time, tools, and workflow with minimal supervision.
- A genuine interest in learning, expanding, and improving your design capabilities.
Nice-to-have experience
- Practical experience using AI design tools such as Runway, Midjourney, Claude Design, or similar platforms.
- Background in podcast design, content marketing, or B2B SaaS branding.
- Motion design experience, including After Effects or AI-based motion tools like Runway.
- Experience creating slide decks, especially in Google Slides.
Contract details
This is an independent contractor role estimated at about 20 to 40 hours per week.
Before starting, contractors must complete a standard confidentiality and proprietary information agreement, a criminal reference check, and any required security and compliance steps.
