About the Role
Begin your professional journey with Air New Zealand as part of the Digital team, where innovation meets travel excellence. Join the Cyber Security group to help safeguard critical systems, technologies, and data that support millions of travellers annually, ensuring the airline operates securely in a dynamic digital landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Work collaboratively alongside seasoned security experts to gain practical exposure in cyber security, risk evaluation, and threat mitigation. Actively contribute to defending the airline against evolving cyber threats in a fast-paced environment.
Candidate Profile
- Possess or be pursuing a relevant tertiary degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or another STEM field with a solid cyber foundation.
- Be in the final year of studies, completing by the end of 2026, or have graduated within the last 18 months.
- Have fewer than two years of professional experience in the cyber security domain.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm and curiosity for technology beyond academics, evidenced by personal projects, open-source involvement, AI explorations, app or website development, tackling cyber challenges, or data-driven problem solving.
- Excel in collaborative, agile, and fast-moving environments, comfortable with ambiguous and complex challenges.
- Legally entitled to work full-time permanently in New Zealand.

Recruitment Process
- Apply online between 10 and 23 August 2026 by sharing your background and motivation.
- Complete a self-recorded video introduction in early to mid-September to showcase your personality and enthusiasm.
- Attend an in-person Graduate Day in Auckland for interviews and group activities late September (attendance and eventual relocation required if outside Auckland).
- Participate in a follow-up chemistry discussion with potential team leaders.
- Upon selection, undergo pre-employment checks and receive a formal offer by early October.
