Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL) is a key player in India’s natural gas distribution sector and operates as a joint venture between Adani Group and TotalEnergies. The company develops city gas distribution networks and supplies piped natural gas to residential, commercial, and industrial customers, along with compressed natural gas for the transport segment. Its network spans locations such as Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Faridabad, and Khurja, and it also expands through a consortium with Indian Oil Corporation Ltd across several other regions. ATGL also invests in renewable energy through Adani TotalEnergies Biomass Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary focused on biogas development.

Role Purpose

This position is accountable for running an individual plant smoothly, efficiently, and in full compliance. The role focuses on improving production output, strengthening quality controls, and reducing operational risk while supporting business targets and growth plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily plant operations to keep production running consistently and improve output and reliability.
  • Drive process improvements at plant level to reduce waste and raise efficiency.
  • Handle plant-level administrative work and financial transactions in line with budget limits and company policies.
  • Coordinate transport and storage arrangements for feedstock and finished goods.
  • Monitor quality laboratories for feedstock testing and batching activities to ensure standards are met and deviations are kept low.
  • Maintain strict adherence to HSE requirements and statutory rules, closing any compliance gaps quickly.
  • Strengthen quality assurance processes to improve product consistency and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare, review, and share daily performance reports to measure progress against production and cost-saving goals.
  • Maintain daily logs, MIS updates, and quality control records for the plant.
  • Spot operational inefficiencies and take corrective action to improve productivity and cost effectiveness.
  • Work with local agencies, feedstock vendors, and government bodies to ensure plant activities continue without disruption.
  • Partner with the regional head to resolve escalated issues and align on priorities and targets.

Key Stakeholders

Internal: Techno Commercial, Finance, PMO, Procurement (Feedstock), Fertilizer, Safety.

External: O&M agencies and government authorities.

Qualifications

A B.E. or B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Process Engineering, or a related discipline is required.

The role calls for more than 4 years of relevant experience, ideally in senior operations management or project management within the CBG or biofuel sector.

Prior exposure to the CBG industry is preferred.
