Job description
About the Team
The Technology Due Diligence group functions as a segment of the Transaction Services International division, delivering advisory and support solutions to Deloitte member firms during varied technology diligence assignments. The team conducts IT health assessments, exit readiness evaluations, and supports buy-side, sell-side, IPO, and refinancing transactions. Their expertise spans all industry verticals, including Digital, Technology, and Financial Services. Collaborating closely with Deloitte firms' M&A Technology teams, they provide continuous support through project lifecycles and coordinate with operational diligence teams globally.
Role Overview
As a Deputy Manager within the M&A Technology team, you will cultivate strong collaborative relationships with clients and internal teams to exceed expectations. Responsibilities include producing and reviewing detailed transaction reports and M&A deliverables, executing IT health checks and exit screenings, and managing projects from inception to completion—including pre-transaction reporting, Day 1 readiness, and integration or separation activities.
You will offer Programme Management Office assistance by helping IT streams meet objectives, engage senior stakeholders to mitigate risks and facilitate decisions, and analyze IT-related data such as costs, contracts, and qualitative insights. Managing IT merges and splits, identifying synergies and costs, and preparing key transaction documents like Transitional Service Agreements and steering committee reports will be part of your duties.
This position also emphasizes developing consulting competencies in strategic thinking, program and change management, and delivering insightful, deal-focused analyses and recommendations. You will be responsible for quality assurance and compliance with Deloitte’s risk and quality standards. Additionally, participation in thought leadership and business development efforts is expected.
Engagements and Collaboration
You will contribute to the support of Deloitte member firms’ Technology Due Diligence across the UK, Canada, and Europe, engage extensively with London’s M&A Technology team, and analyze complex IT architectures for companies of various sizes in multiple industries. Your work includes interpreting IT costs, liaising internationally, meeting demanding deadlines, and applying logical problem-solving techniques in high-stakes scenarios.
