About The Opportunity
This position, located in Gurugram, offers the role of Deputy Manager reporting to the Vice President of Finance and Accounts at MakeMyTrip. The Financial Reporting department is tasked with consolidating group financials accurately, adhering to IFRS/Ind-AS and Schedule III as per the Companies Act, 2013. It supports stakeholders by furnishing timely financial insights for decision-making, ensuring compliance with regulations, and preparing statutory and annual reports such as 20F. Coordination with auditors and utilization of ERP systems alongside MS Office tools are crucial. Effective communication and analytical prowess are essential to uphold transparency and governance.
Role Overview
The Deputy Manager will oversee comprehensive financial reporting functions including consolidation of group results and generating statutory reports. The individual must demonstrate proficiency in Ind-AS/IFRS standards to maintain accuracy and regulatory compliance, particularly under Schedule III. Collaboration with internal teams, auditors, and other stakeholders is vital, along with proficiency in MS Office and ERP software for enhanced reporting efficiency. The role significantly contributes to enhancing financial integrity and aids in decision-making processes.
Core Responsibilities
- Compile consolidated financial statements encompassing multiple subsidiaries and manage inter-company eliminations and minority interests.
- Apply Ind-AS and IFRS standards rigorously for statutory report preparation.
- Manage quarterly and annual financial closings while ensuring compliance with Schedule III and supporting auditing activities.
- Leverage ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or MS Navision and exhibit advanced Excel capabilities to optimize reporting.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 5 to 6 years of relevant post-qualification experience in financial closing and reporting in medium to large enterprises.
- Experience in companies listed in India or the US is regarded as advantageous.
