Position overview
This role is for an experienced Deputy Manager in the Crane Division, based in Qatar and aligned to major Oil & Gas work. The position focuses on running crane operations and lifting activities across project sites, while also handling fleet oversight, manpower coordination, and compliance with project and safety standards.
Key responsibilities
The selected professional will be expected to keep lifting operations safe, efficient, and cost-conscious. The role involves coordinating crane deployment, supporting fleet and maintenance planning, organizing manpower resources, and making sure all activities follow client expectations, project needs, and HSE rules.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field, is required.
- Applicants should bring 10–15 years of experience in crane operations and lifting work within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or EPC environments.
- At least 5 years must be in a supervisory or management capacity.
- Strong working knowledge of mobile cranes, crawler cranes, heavy lifting equipment, and lifting regulations is necessary.
- Experience in managing fleets, coordinating maintenance, and planning resources is expected.
- Familiarity with international lifting standards and HSE requirements is important.
- Leadership ability, planning skills, and clear communication are essential.
- Prior GCC or Middle East experience is preferred.
