Job description
Role Summary
This position is responsible for shaping business planning, strategic analysis, and performance monitoring to help senior leaders make informed decisions. The role converts business objectives into executable plans and keeps a close eye on delivery, using data to guide strategy across distribution and operations.
Business Planning and Budgeting
- Support the annual operating plan and long-range planning cycles.
- Work with sales, product, and finance teams to prepare business plans covering premium, cost, and productivity.
- Create forecasts using both bottom-up and top-down approaches across agency, banca, and digital channels.
- Review actual performance against plan and flag areas that need corrective action.
Strategy Development
- Assist in defining business strategy that supports overall growth targets.
- Carry out market sizing, competitor comparison, and opportunity studies.
- Develop strategic initiatives focused on the customer journey, including acquisition, retention, and productivity.
- Support leadership in assessing new business opportunities and partnerships.
Performance Management and Governance
- Build and maintain leadership dashboards covering sales, persistency, productivity, and cost ratios.
- Monitor critical KPIs and turn them into practical recommendations for business leaders.
- Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews with clear insights and action points.
- Spot early risk indicators and communicate emerging issues promptly.
Data Analytics and Insights
- Conduct detailed analysis of sales trends, channel performance, and customer behavior.
- Convert analytical findings into concise business stories for leadership communication.
- Identify what drives growth and where losses occur, such as conversion drops, attrition, and productivity gaps.
- Collaborate with data teams to strengthen reporting automation and improve accuracy.
Cross-functional Coordination
- Work closely with Finance, HR, Distribution, and Operations teams on strategic priorities.
- Track transformation initiatives and keep them aligned with business objectives.
- Support execution of strategic programs through structured governance mechanisms.
Leadership Communication
- Prepare presentations for the CEO and senior leadership, including board materials and strategic updates.
- Present complex findings in a clear, organized, and impactful way.
- Assist leadership with scenario planning and business case evaluation for key decisions.
Key Deliverables
- Annual operating plan and periodic forecasts.
