Job description

Role Overview

As a full-time Department Manager at H&M, you will lead and support your entire team by fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and entrepreneurial work environment. Your leadership will help create a thriving culture in line with company values, contributing to both your success and the company's achievements.

Key Duties

  • Guide your team to deliver exceptional customer service by maintaining high operational and visual standards while actively promoting and selling products.
  • Oversee your store and department performance by analyzing sales data, spotting commercial opportunities, setting targets, and planning to maximize results, profits, and inventory control.
  • Manage team scheduling, planning, and smooth execution of store opening and closing procedures.
  • Recruit, onboard, and nurture team members, encouraging an inclusive and innovative culture that supports growth and collaboration.
  • Keep abreast of fashion trends, customer behaviors, and competitor activities to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Represent both yourself and the brand positively during all interactions with customers.

Collaboration

The role involves close cooperation with a diverse Store Team including Sales Advisors, Department Managers, Store Managers, Visual Merchandisers, Assistant Store Managers, Cash Office and Delivery Responsible staff in larger stores. You will also interface with the broader Area Team to exchange insights and drive collective success. Together you will help customers express themselves confidently with the latest and classic fashion styles while making shopping an inviting and sustainable experience.
