Job description
Role summary
Reporting to the Product Manager, this role owns the full delivery lifecycle for technology products and self-service solutions used across Airport Operations. The position focuses on delivering operational technology initiatives successfully while protecting system stability, strengthening operational resilience, and keeping outcomes aligned with business goals.
The self-service portfolio covers check-in kiosks, bag drop, lounge access, roaming agent support, biometric solutions, Amadeus PSS-connected platforms, and related lounge access technology. The role works closely with operational teams, technology specialists, and external vendors to create clear business and operational impact.
What you will do
- Take charge of Airport Operations self-service technology projects and ensure delivery against scope, budget, schedule, and quality expectations.
- Oversee improvements and new implementations across self-service check-in kiosks, self-service bag drop, lounge access systems, roaming agent tools, biometric processing, Amadeus PSS-related platforms, and lounge access solutions.
- Partner with Airport Operations, Ground Services, and Technology teams to shape and deliver practical solutions.
- Maintain project plans, manage risks and dependencies, control budgets, and support governance activities.
- Coordinate vendor and supplier performance to secure timely delivery and operational readiness.
- Handle scope control, change management, testing, deployment, and adoption activities across the business.
- Monitor benefit delivery and continuously look for ways to improve operational performance.
- Lead incident governance, perform root-cause analysis, and drive service improvement actions.
- Use Agile and Waterfall approaches as appropriate for the project and business need.
Experience and qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience delivering technology projects in the airline, airport, aviation, or transportation sector.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: Amadeus PSS self-service, self-service check-in kiosk and bag drop, or biometric passenger processing.
- Demonstrated success in managing suppliers and external technology partners.
- PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, Scrum Master, or a similar certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with JIRA, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Planner, or comparable delivery tools.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with business stakeholders and suppliers.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities under pressure while staying focused on delivery and value creation.
