Job description
About the role
This position is for a delivery driver at Domino's in Enterprise, Alabama. The role is a good fit for people who want a flexible schedule, whether they need hours around school, want a second source of income, or are looking for a main job with room to grow.
Domino's is expanding quickly and offers drivers the possibility of moving into leadership or store management over time. Team members are valued for helping keep delivery service fast, reliable, and customer-focused.
What you'll do
- Deliver orders by car to customers within the assigned area.
- Bring flyers and door hangers to homes as needed.
- Operate store equipment and help with general store tasks.
- Move ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and cooler.
- Prepare food items and help process phone orders.
- Record inventory and complete related paperwork.
- Keep equipment and the store clean on a regular basis.
Requirements
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a valid driver's license, maintain a driving record that meets company standards, and have access to an insured vehicle suitable for delivery work. The job also requires the ability to read maps, find addresses within the delivery zone, and handle difficult driving and walking conditions, including multi-level buildings and varied terrain.
Strong communication skills are needed to follow written instructions and to speak clearly with customers and coworkers over the phone and in person. Candidates should also be comfortable with basic math, accurate cash handling, computer or touchscreen order entry, and fast, precise hand-eye coordination.
Working conditions
This role involves both inside and outside work. Drivers may face changing weather, hot and cold areas, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, sharp edges, moving machine parts, and hot oven surfaces. Some duties may require standing for long periods, walking short distances, bending, reaching, crouching, climbing stairs or ladders, and lifting or carrying products up to 50 pounds.
Delivery work can include several stops per shift and may require carrying pizzas and drinks, climbing five or more flights of stairs, and driving in the dark or in poor weather.
Training and advancement
On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The company also notes that many team members begin as drivers and later grow into management, franchise ownership, or other corporate operations roles.
Diversity and workplace culture
The organization states that it aims to value the different backgrounds, strengths, and contributions of all team members and create an environment where everyone can perform at their best.
Physical and skill demands
The job includes frequent use of hands, wrists, and forearms for tasks such as preparing food, handling equipment, using a pizza cutter, and assembling boxes. Repetitive motions, precise hand control, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are important.
Team members may need to use a variety of tools and devices, including pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, and pizza peels.
Additional information
Outside delivery tasks may expose workers to changing weather and some coupon distribution or related customer outreach. Driving also requires good far vision and night vision.
