Role Overview
This opportunity is with a Domino’s franchise location in Dyersburg, Tennessee, for a delivery-focused team member. The store is hiring immediately and offers short or long shifts based on your preference. Both part-time and full-time schedules are available, with flexibility to choose hours that fit your life.
Compensation
Drivers generally earn more than $20 per hour when wage, tips, and mileage reimbursement are combined. Tips and mileage reimbursement are paid daily, while hourly wages are paid every other Friday. The position includes the choice of using your own vehicle with mileage reimbursement or, if eligible, a company vehicle for deliveries.
Job Duties
The primary responsibility is delivering Domino’s products safely and efficiently within the assigned delivery area. Team members use navigation tools, follow directions, locate addresses, and complete multiple deliveries per shift. The role also supports in-store tasks as needed and requires strong customer service and safe driving practices.
Vehicle and Driving Requirements
Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving history, reliable transportation, and active insurance. To use a company vehicle, the driver must be at least 21 years old, have a clean driving record, and have at least 2 years of driving history. Driving records are reviewed through a motor vehicle report.
Job Requirements
Candidates must be 18 years or older and able to pass a background check. The role calls for good map-reading and navigation ability, the capacity to work independently and with a team, and the ability to remain effective under pressure while meeting quality standards. Strong judgment, customer service, and the ability to analyze and organize information are also expected.
Work Conditions
This job may involve working in changing and sometimes difficult weather conditions while delivering or distributing flyers and door hangers. In-store temperatures may range from 36 degrees in cooler areas to 90 degrees or higher in other work areas. The environment may include food odors, cornmeal dust, compact spaces, hot equipment, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.
Physical Demands
The position includes frequent walking, carrying, climbing, driving, bending, reaching, and hand use. Drivers may need to carry pizzas and beverages, travel between the store and vehicle, and climb several flights of stairs during deliveries. The role also involves repeated bending, reaching, grasping, and handling of pizza tools and boxes, along with the ability to distinguish hot and cold surfaces and maintain the vision and hearing needed for store work and driving.
