Role Overview

This opportunity is with Domino’s in Oakland, Tennessee for delivery experts who can help the brand continue delivering pizzas quickly and safely. The company is hiring immediately and offers both short and long shifts, with the ability to choose the schedule that best fits your life. Part-time and full-time hours are available.

Compensation

Drivers typically earn more than $20 per hour when combining wages, tips, and mileage reimbursement. Tips and mileage reimbursement are paid daily, while hourly wages are paid every other Friday.

You may use your own vehicle and receive mileage reimbursement that helps cover fuel and other vehicle-related costs, or you may use a company-provided vehicle. To use a company vehicle, you must be at least 21 years old, have a clean driving record, and have at least 2 years of driving history.

Responsibilities

Your main duty will be to deliver Domino’s products safely and efficiently within the designated delivery zone. The role also includes using delivery technology, following safe driving practices, and maintaining quality and customer service standards.

Requirements

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, pass a background check, and hold a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record that is subject to Motor Vehicle Report review. A reliable vehicle and valid insurance are required if using your own car.

You should be comfortable reading maps, finding addresses, navigating delivery routes, and handling adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings. The role also calls for the ability to work independently and with others, perform repetitive tasks, manage stress, follow instructions, deliver strong customer service, and make sound decisions.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The position involves exposure to changing weather conditions while making deliveries, as well as temperature shifts inside the store, where cooler areas may be around 36 degrees and some work areas may reach 90 degrees or higher. You may also encounter food-related fumes, cornmeal dust, compact workspaces, hot surfaces, and sharp or moving equipment.

Physical duties include walking between the store and the vehicle, carrying pizzas and beverages, climbing stairs, driving multiple deliveries per shift, bending and stooping at the prep station and while stocking or cleaning, reaching in multiple directions throughout the day, and using hands continuously for food preparation and handling items. The role may require climbing five or more flights of stairs during deliveries.

Vision, hearing, and depth perception are important for both store tasks and driving. You should also be able to distinguish between hot and cold surfaces and maintain far and night vision for driving.
