This position is for a delivery driver in Cheektowaga, NY. The role offers the chance to work in your own vehicle, listen to music while driving, and earn both tips and hourly pay. Availability preferred
The team is currently seeking drivers who can work Friday through Sunday during opening shifts, typically from 10:00 to 4:00/6:00.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- At least two years of verifiable driving experience
- Stable employment history
- Ability to meet compliance checks related to MVR, DOT, CSA, and/or criminal background review
- Food or beverage delivery experience is an advantage
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs on a regular basis
- Comfortable driving in tight spaces and heavy traffic
Driving history requirements
To drive for business purposes, candidates must meet the company’s driving history standards. Applicants who are 18 years old need proof of at least two years of driving history immediately before the MVR review. Applicants who are 19 years old need at least one year of driving history immediately before the MVR review. A learner’s permit may only count if it is officially documented by a government authority, and the company does not accept applicants without an official license.
Driving record standards
Drivers must also meet record thresholds to be eligible. In the two years before the MVR date, there can be no more than two driving-related violations, such as speeding, failure to yield, failure to obey signals, careless driving, or not wearing a seatbelt. In the three years before the MVR date, there can be no more than three driving-related violations and no more than one at-fault accident.
Disqualifying violations
Any applicant with the following records cannot drive for the company: leaving the scene of an accident, hit and run, reckless driving, any drug- or alcohol-related driving violation, vehicular homicide or assault, unlawful racing or exhibition driving, or eluding or attempting to elude an officer.
