Job description
About the role
This position is for experienced quantitative specialists who want to help improve AI models. You will collaborate with advanced AI systems on work such as reviewing AI-produced quantitative analyses, tackling technical challenges, and sharing feedback that helps shape how these models understand data, scientific questions, and analytical reasoning. The role is suitable for professionals from fields like data science, astrophysics, economics, biostatistics, operations research, and similar disciplines where rigorous thinking about data and models is essential. Some people do this alongside another full-time job, while others make it their main focus.
How the process works
After creating an account, you will complete a short assessment that acts as the screening step. If successful, you will receive confirmation by email, and paid assignments will be made available through the platform.
Contract benefits
- You can decide which projects to take on and choose your own working times.
- Work can be completed on your own computer, from home, on a schedule that suits you.
- Compensation is hourly and begins at USD 50 to USD 100+ per hour, with some projects offering bonus rates.
Key responsibilities
Your work will focus on improving quantitative AI performance by reviewing outputs, creating problem sets, and contributing feedback.
Additional responsibilities
- Assess AI-generated quantitative work for accuracy, including statistical analysis, predictive modelling, scientific reasoning, and data-based conclusions.
- Build and solve quantitative tasks used to train and evaluate AI systems in areas such as forecasting, experiment analysis, optimisation, and statistical inference.
- Prepare concise technical write-ups and maintain clear, well-structured analytical code.
- Offer feedback that supports the development of future AI models for quantitative reasoning.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of practical experience in a quantitative job or research setting, such as data science, statistics, economics, finance, physics, biology, epidemiology, operations research, or a related area.
- Working knowledge of coding, including the ability to write and review analytical code from start to finish.
- Hands-on experience with statistical techniques, predictive modelling, and experimental design, including A/B testing, hypothesis testing, regression, classification, and time-series forecasting.
- Strong English fluency at native or bilingual level, along with excellent writing ability.
- A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative subject is preferred, such as Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a similar field; a master’s degree or PhD is an added advantage.
- Additional proof of expertise is beneficial, such as a Kaggle competition ranking, AWS or GCP machine learning certification, or a comparable achievement.
