Job description

About the role

This position is for quantitative specialists who want to help improve AI systems. You will work with advanced models on tasks such as reviewing AI-produced quantitative analysis, tackling technical challenges, and giving feedback that helps refine how the models reason through data, modelling, and scientific questions. The work is suitable for people from astrophysics and other quantitative backgrounds such as data science, economics, biostatistics, operations research, and similar fields. Some contributors do this alongside another full-time job, while others make it their main focus.

How the process works

After creating an account, you will complete a short assessment that acts as the screening step. If you are successful, you will receive confirmation by email and paid assignments will be made available on the platform.

What you get as a contractor

  • Freedom to pick the projects you want to take on and decide when to work.
  • Flexible work that can be done on your own computer, from home, and on your own timetable.
  • Hourly pay beginning at USD 50 to USD 100+ per hour, with some projects offering bonus rates.

Responsibilities

  • Check AI-generated quantitative outputs for correctness, including statistical work, predictive modelling, scientific logic, and data-based conclusions.
  • Create and solve quantitative tasks used to train and evaluate AI systems across forecasting, experiment analysis, optimization, and statistical inference.
  • Produce concise technical write-ups and maintain clear, well-structured analytical code.
  • Share feedback that influences the development of next-generation AI models focused on quantitative reasoning.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of practical experience in a quantitative job or research setting, such as data science, statistics, economics, finance, physics, biology, epidemiology, operations research, or a related area.
  • Some coding background, with the ability to write and review analytical code from start to finish.
  • Hands-on familiarity with statistical methods, predictive modelling, and experiment design, including A/B testing, hypothesis testing, regression, classification, and time-series forecasting.
  • Strong English fluency at native or bilingual level, along with excellent writing ability.
  • A bachelor's degree in a quantitative subject is preferred, such as Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a similar discipline; a master's degree or PhD is an advantage.
  • Additional credentials are beneficial, including Kaggle competition rankings, AWS/GCP ML certifications, or comparable proof of expertise.

Additional information

Payment is handled through PayPal. You will never be asked to pay any money to participate. PayPal will manage currency conversion from USD. Only candidates based in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand will be considered. This is an independent contractor engagement.
