Dealer (Night Desk)

Overview

The Dealer (Night Desk) position is responsible for streamlining, coordinating, and overseeing the precise execution of all client trades, including equities, structured products, bonds, and foreign exchange (FX). This role aims to mitigate corporate risks by ensuring that authorized and verified personnel conduct all trade activities, centralizing trade efforts to lower transaction costs and reduce the chance of unauthorized or erroneous trades.

Key Responsibilities

• Place trade orders through authorized brokers only.
• Adhere strictly to best business practices and dealing guidelines throughout the trade process.
• Report any incidents involving potential trade conflicts or disputes promptly to the immediate supervisor.
• Identify and secure the most favorable executed prices for Structured Products and Fixed Income instruments.
• Keep the Front Office updated with the latest Initial Price Offerings.

Requirements

• Possess a degree and have a minimum of five years' experience in a dealing desk environment.
• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced operational setting.
• Strong enthusiasm for financial markets and their instruments.
• Knowledgeable about Equity, Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income, and Structured Products.
• Experience using Bloomberg and AVALOQ systems.
• Holding CMFAS and CACS qualifications is favorable.
