Role Overview

We're seeking a Deal Desk Manager to establish and lead n8n's Deal Desk function, emphasizing AI-driven automation for deal intake, approval workflows, and pricing frameworks. This role requires collaboration across Sales, Legal, RevOps, Finance, and Customer Success teams to optimize deal velocity, pricing guardrails, contract negotiations, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement n8n's Deal Desk from the ground up, leveraging AI and automation for deal intake, approval, and pricing disciplines.
  • Guide Sales on deal configurations and pricing strategies to uphold margins while ensuring sales processes remain efficient.
  • Develop simple discount and pricing guidelines that empower Sales to handle deals without frequent escalations.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly deal review sessions to maintain high transaction speed, focusing on critical end-of-month and quarter periods.
  • Manage contract redlines and non-standard terms proactively to minimize Legal department involvement.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive library of contract phraseologies to support AI-driven fallback recommendations during routine negotiations.
  • Automate workflows like approvals and quoting using CPQ tools and apply AI to triage deal change requests requiring reauthorization.
  • Maintain high-quality Salesforce data integrity and contract documentation for all deals.
  • Assist Customer Success with non-standard renewal and expansion deal structuring.
  • Coordinate responses for security and compliance inquiries involving sales, security, and legal stakeholders.
  • Provide monthly reports on deal desk metrics including cycle times, discount usage, and exceptions.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven expertise in building and managing a deal desk function, with hands-on involvement in process design and operation.
  • Strong commercial understanding of SaaS pricing models, revenue recognition, ARR reporting, and enterprise contract frameworks.
  • Experienced in contract negotiation and redlining, adept at identifying when to engage Legal.
  • Hands-on experience configuring and operating CPQ systems and Salesforce platforms.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven and automation-first work methodologies, including relevant workflow automation successes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing diverse and complex teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Track record of launching a new deal desk or similar function, including process and policy formation.
  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ or modern billing platforms such as Hyperline or Solvimon.
  • Interest in the n8n platform, ideally demonstrated by building workflows personally.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary with equity ownership aligning with the company’s "empower others" philosophy.
  • Generous vacation policies: 30 days plus holidays in Europe, 20 vacation days plus sick leave in the US.
  • Health and wellness benefits tailored to local norms in Europe; comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and disability coverage in the US.
  • Retirement plans including pension contributions in Europe and a 401(k) plan with employer match in the US.
  • Annual professional development funding of €1,000 or equivalent for courses, books, or coaching.
  • Remote-first culture with regular team bonding events and hackathons stimulating creativity.
  • Monthly allowance to support open-source projects and unlimited AI tool usage budget to foster productivity.
  • Transparent company culture with open visibility into projects and business performance.
