Role overview
Corlann Limerick is recruiting for a Day Activity Facilitator based in Limerick City. The organisation has both permanent full-time and fixed-term full-time opportunities available. The successful candidate may be placed in autism-specific services or in general intellectual disability support services.

Contract and pay
This role sits on the Basic Instructor 13-point scale, with pay ranging from €36,291 to €52,406 on a pro-rata basis. A supplementary panel will also be created for Day Activity Facilitator roles in Corlann Limerick, and this panel may be used to fill current and future full-time or part-time permanent and specified-purpose vacancies.

You will work as part of a team to design and deliver suitable programmes that match the individual needs and abilities of the people supported by the service. The role places the wellbeing and welfare of each service user at the centre of every decision. It calls for a professional approach, a genuine commitment to supporting people with learning disabilities, and a belief in equal participation in community life. The position also requires confidence in resolving disagreements and the ability to understand different viewpoints while helping people feel empowered.

Essential requirements
Applicants must hold either a third-level qualification relevant to services for people with intellectual disabilities, or at minimum a QQI Level 5 Major Award (full 8 modules) in community development, health, or education. A full manual driving licence valid for driving manual transmission vehicles on Irish roads is required. Candidates should also be familiar with HSE New Directions Standards for Day Services and the person-centred planning process.
