Role overview
First Abu Dhabi Bank is hiring a Data Scientist in Abu Dhabi for a full-time, on-site position. The role focuses on turning complex datasets into practical business solutions through advanced analytics and machine learning.
What you will do
- Analyze very large and intricate datasets to address demanding business challenges.
- Prepare data by collecting, cleaning, and transforming it for analysis and model training.
- Run exploratory analysis to identify patterns, trends, and insights that guide model design.
- Design, train, and fine-tune machine learning models using modern algorithms and frameworks.
- Develop complete ML workflows covering ingestion, transformation, training, validation, and deployment.
- Set up automated training, testing, and release processes with CI/CD and MLOps practices.
- Work closely with cross-functional partners to embed models into applications and deliver end-to-end solutions.
Required background
- At least 5 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or artificial intelligence.
- Hands-on expertise in supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, NLP, computer vision, or generative AI such as LLMs.
- Strong coding ability in Python and/or R, with SQL knowledge for querying data.
- Experience creating data pipelines and working with large-scale tools such as Spark, Airflow, and Hadoop.
- Understanding of model serving, API creation with FastAPI or Flask, and performance tuning for batch or real-time inference.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and MLOps platforms such as MLflow or Kubeflow.
- Exposure to cloud deployment on AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or similar services such as SageMaker or Vertex AI.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
