Job description
About the team
The analytics function is hiring Data Analysts and Data Scientists to support measurement, strategy, and day-to-day decision-making through advanced analytics as the logistics platform expands internationally. In this role, you will turn data into practical recommendations that help shape decisions across the business, with analytics playing a central part in every operational area.
About the role
This position goes beyond model building. The work involves digging into complex datasets to solve important business challenges, designing and running experiments, and partnering closely with cross-functional teams to drive measurable operational improvements. It is a hands-on, action-oriented role for someone who enjoys using data to influence real business outcomes.
The role touches multiple marketplace problems across customer acquisition, supply-demand balancing, fraud, support, marketing, and marketplace efficiency. It is well suited to someone who enjoys finding structure in ambiguity, helping build markets from the ground up, and using analytics to improve revenue, growth, and operations.
What you will do
- Act as a strong analytical partner to product, business, finance, and executive stakeholders, helping guide important decisions.
- Use quantitative methods and clear data storytelling to uncover the real drivers behind business performance.
- Develop end-to-end analytics work such as experiments, dashboards, and reporting using SQL, Python, R, or similar statistical and scripting tools.
- Create recommendations and use statistical testing and experimentation methods to confirm findings.
- Deliver insights that help teams understand marketplace behaviour, user patterns, and long-term trends.
- Identify, track, and measure key business levers, then suggest actions to improve core metrics.
- Work effectively across strategy, operations, product, finance, and engineering while managing priorities and stakeholders.
- Be prepared to travel to meet business partners and local teams in different markets.
What we are looking for
- At least 3 years of experience in data analytics, consulting, or a similar field.
- Ability to break down ambiguous problems into structured, hypothesis-led, data-backed approaches.
- Experience leading strategic initiatives from start to finish with cross-functional partners.
- Hands-on knowledge of experimentation methods such as A/B testing and causal inference, along with hypothesis testing.
- Strong programming ability in at least one language such as Python or R.
- Deep working knowledge of SQL queries, ETL workflows, and related data processes.
- Comfort using one or more analytics and visualization platforms.
- Experience developing and training statistical and machine learning models, including classifiers and regression models.
Compensation and benefits
Base pay is localized to employee work location and will be determined by factors such as skills, relevant experience, and location. The compensation package also includes equity opportunities. The role falls within the following Canadian base pay ranges:
- I4: CAD 114,000 to CAD 142,500
- I5: CAD 142,000 to CAD 177,500
- I6: CAD 176,000 to CAD 220,000
Regular employees receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, paid parental leave, wellness benefits, and several paid holidays. Full-time employees are also eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverage, disability and basic life insurance, an RRSP with employer match, and access to a mental health program.
