Position Overview

This contract role invites data science experts to join the Mercor Talent Network, working remotely to provide high-quality evaluations on AI-related deliverables. Compensation ranges between $100 and $150 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop precise, task-specific grading criteria for evaluating data science outputs including exploratory data analysis, statistical models, machine learning workflows, and A/B testing documentation.
• Assess both AI-generated and human-produced work against the predefined standards to ensure consistent quality.
• Provide comprehensive written explanations justifying the evaluation scores to promote transparency and accountability.
• Employ consistent, evidence-supported judgment ensuring assessment reproducibility and defendability.
• Incorporate feedback from senior reviewers, iterating on work submissions for continuous improvement.
• Operate independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and contribute towards enhancing AI model performance.

Required Qualifications

• At least one year of professional experience in data science.
• Background working within leading technology companies, research institutions, or quantitative firms.
• Proficiency in Python programming, SQL querying, statistical modeling, machine learning techniques, and experimental design.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Attention to detail with a reliable and methodical approach to evaluating complex data science tasks.
• Openness to feedback and ability to align assessments with established standards.
