Role Overview

Broster Buchanan is seeking a meticulous Data Integrity Analyst for a six-month fixed term contract based in Leicester, England. This critical position focuses on enhancing the quality of data within a burgeoning financial services organisation that relies heavily on accurate data for operational and strategic success.

Primary Duties

  • Analyse and profile data across key business systems to uncover missing, inconsistent, or duplicated entries.
  • Organise and prioritize a systematic data quality backlog driven by its business impact.
  • Create and upkeep data quality metrics encompassing completeness, accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
  • Investigate systemic data issues to apply long-lasting fixes rather than temporary solutions.
  • Validate and reconcile original data in support of monthly management reports.
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence, Finance, and operational departments to resolve data discrepancies.
  • Contribute to the delivery of dependable Management Information (MI) with reduced manual processes.
  • Partner with various stakeholders to assign data ownership across Operations, Finance, and other departments.
  • Help develop and enforce data standards, validation protocols, and clear data definitions.
  • Document the origins and transformations of data to enhance transparency and confidence in reporting.
  • Introduce automated monitoring systems and early-warning mechanisms to track data quality.
  • Spot opportunities for minimizing manual workflows by implementing scalable and sustainable improvements.
  • Regularly report on data quality trends, performance indicators, and the progress of issue resolution.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will bring analytical rigor and a passion for elevating data integrity. They will excel at engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders and confidently manage issues through to their resolution.

Required Experience and Expertise

  • Between two to four years of professional experience in data quality, data operations, business intelligence, or related data analysis roles.
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and validating data in relational databases.
  • Demonstrated expertise in data profiling and identifying quality concerns.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate technical insights effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in maintaining organized issue logs, backlogs, or data quality registers.
  • Strong logical thinking applied to root cause analysis and continuous process enhancements.

Technical Proficiencies

  • Advanced skills in SQL (mandatory).
  • Expertise with Microsoft Excel for reconciliation and data validation tasks.
  • Familiarity with data profiling or data quality software tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge of financial services or wealth management platforms such as XPlan is beneficial.
