About the Role
Aaratech Inc. is recruiting a Data Analyst specialized in insurance to enhance business functions through insightful data interpretation. This position involves working closely with underwriting, claims, risk management, and other departments by analyzing relevant datasets, spotting trends, and producing performance reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, clean, and examine insurance-related data sourced from various systems.
- Create dashboards and generate reports tracking claims, insurance policies, and overall business metrics.
- Detect patterns and deliver actionable intelligence to boost operational efficiency and risk control.
- Partner with teams across business units, finance, underwriting, and IT to facilitate decisions rooted in data.
- Maintain high standards in data accuracy, consistency, and quality of reporting.
- Communicate analysis results and strategic recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Data Science, IT, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
- Between two to three years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, ideally within insurance or financial sectors.
- Proficiency in SQL, advanced Microsoft Excel skills, and experience with data visualization software.
- Prior exposure to insurance data, including claims and policies, is preferred.
- Excellent analytical reasoning, communication abilities, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills and Certifications
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Understanding of insurance analytics methodologies, claims reporting, and risk evaluation processes.
- Basic competence in Python or R programming languages for data work.
- Experience querying SQL databases and generating reports.
- Certifications like Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Tableau Desktop Specialist, or Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate are advantageous.
Additional Information
Compensation: Annual salary between $65,000 and $70,000.
