Role overview
We are recruiting for a Haystack partner for a full-time, on-site Data Analyst role based in Washington, DC. This position centers on building and improving mathematical and physics-driven models, simulations, and analytical tools that support mission-level decision-making.
What you will do
- Support teams working on modeling, simulation, and analytical systems grounded in mathematics and physics.
- Evaluate and shape new ISRT and BMC2 concepts as well as related system architectures.
- Study and represent the physics and engineering behind important sensing and counter-sensing technologies.
- Build and apply new multi-sensor data fusion and resource optimization algorithms inside mission simulations.
- Carry out software-in-the-loop testing to support planning, execution, and data interpretation.
- Prepare documentation and communicate findings to project leads, sponsors, and other decision-makers.
What you need
- A bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific discipline such as Applied Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Five or more years of relevant experience in modeling and simulation.
- Strong ability to develop, apply, and improve scientific and engineering models, simulations, and data-processing methods.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills for collaborative work.
- Hands-on experience with version control tools such as Git or GitLab.
- Capacity to qualify for an Interim Secret clearance and ultimately a TS/SCI clearance.
