Role Summary

We are looking for a Data Analyst to convert data sets into actionable insights that facilitate improved business decisions and operational efficiencies. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, project managers, and solution architects to gather requirements, carry out data analyses, construct dashboards, and provide data-backed recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and interpret business requirements from various stakeholders.
• Profile, clean, validate, and analyze both structured and unstructured datasets.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations that aid business monitoring and decision-making processes.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to reveal trends, anomalies, and new business possibilities.
• Transform analytical results into clear, actionable suggestions for stakeholders.
• Establish and track data quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Partner with data engineers to enhance data pipelines and accessibility.
• Assist in user acceptance testing, data validation, and reconciliation activities.
• Create presentations and executive-level reports for management and clients.
• Document business logic, data definitions, and analytical methodologies.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Between 2 to 5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or reporting functions.
• Strong proficiency with SQL for extracting and analyzing data.
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or Looker.
• Solid understanding of data modelling, KPIs, and reporting standards.
• Experience handling large data volumes and executing data validation processes.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
• Capability to translate business requirements into data-driven analytical solutions.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Python, R, or Spark for data processing and automation tasks.
• Experience within Singapore’s government, public sector, banking, or regulated industries.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or government cloud computing (GCC) environments.
• Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and experience with predictive analytics and the analytics lifecycle.
• Background in Agile project delivery methodologies.

Technical Expertise

• SQL Server and database platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
• Programming experience in Python or R is an advantage.
• Utilizing AI techniques to enhance productivity throughout the software development lifecycle.
