Role overview

This position sits within Deloitte’s Digital Assurance Data team, where analysts, scientists, engineers and management consultants work together on the firm’s AI, analytics and automation capabilities across Audit & Assurance and client engagements. The team builds scalable analytics solutions for sectors such as resources, energy, financial services and government, with a focus on making sense of large, complex enterprise data to improve insight, transparency and decision-making.

What you’ll do

  • Partner with Audit & Assurance teams, clients and technical specialists to turn business challenges into practical analytical solutions.
  • Clean, transform and analyse large and complex datasets using SQL and Python.
  • Carry out reconciliations, data checks and anomaly analysis to support dependable outcomes.
  • Create dashboards and visualisations in Power BI, Tableau or similar tools to turn data into clear business insights.
  • Use AI-enabled tools and modern analytics methods to improve productivity and solve problems more effectively.
  • Share findings, risks and progress clearly while building both technical and consulting capability.
  • Contribute to client work from the beginning, with support through coaching, structured learning and feedback.

What you’ll bring

  • 1–3 years of experience in data analytics or data engineering.
  • Strong working knowledge of Python and SQL for ETL, analysis and automation.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted analytics or development tools, plus curiosity about emerging AI technologies.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to solving data problems.
  • Experience building dashboards, visualisations or interactive data apps using Power BI, Tableau, Streamlit or similar tools.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to explain technical ideas in an accessible way.
  • A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for continuous learning.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced professional services setting.
