About the Role

We are seeking a Cyclic Patrol Truck Operator to join our Road Maintenance team, dedicated to servicing the Waimakariri District Council Road Maintenance network.

In this position, you will carry out inspections and maintenance tasks on the roading infrastructure. Typical duties might include identifying potholes for spot metaling, inspecting the road network and keeping signage maintained, clearing culverts, managing vegetation control, and responding promptly to adverse weather conditions.

Required Qualifications and Skills

While prior experience in a similar capacity is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Candidates who are dependable, motivated, and enthusiastic about growth are highly encouraged to apply. Essential qualifications include holding a Class 1 Driver Licence. Possession of an STMS ticket and Class 2 licence is advantageous, and support will be offered towards acquiring these qualifications if needed.

Comprehensive training is provided, covering systems like RAMM and guidelines from the Manual of Traffic Signs and Markings (MOTSAM).
