Role Overview
This is a remote contract opportunity for a senior infrastructure security professional supporting an AI-focused organization. The position centers on building and strengthening the security base for an innovative, AI-native environment, with direct impact on the safe creation and rollout of AI models used across sectors such as finance, healthcare, and engineering.
Compensation
The role is budgeted at USD 250,000 to USD 350,000 per year.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy strong security frameworks for AI-driven applications, protecting data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
- Partner with teams across the business to design and launch AI models that meet stringent security expectations, using security governance, zero-trust detection, and AI-assisted defense approaches.
- Continuously track threats, attack patterns, and weaknesses affecting AI systems, and update mitigation strategies as the landscape evolves.
- Apply IAM engineering expertise and infrastructure-as-code practices to secure authentication, authorization, and access management for models and data.
- Promote security standards and best practices throughout the organization while aligning with legal, regulatory, and industry compliance requirements.
Required Background
- Hands-on experience building secure infrastructure for large-scale AI environments.
- Strong knowledge of security governance, zero-trust detection, and AI-enabled defense techniques.
- Deep expertise in IAM engineering, including as-code methods and secure access control for AI systems and data.
- Solid understanding of AI-native security risks, vulnerabilities, and current mitigation approaches.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills for working with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting ability to resolve complex security challenges.
