Role overview
Amazon is seeking a Customer Success Manager to support strategic retail vendor partnerships within the Consumables space. This position can be based in one of the approved office locations for the role and is focused on strengthening vendor relationships, improving customer outcomes, and helping drive annual revenue growth across a large-scale e-commerce environment.
In this role, you will help major retail brands grow on Amazon by turning partnerships into long-term strategic advantages. You’ll work closely with vendors to shape business plans, apply insights from performance data, and support initiatives that improve both operational execution and the customer experience.
What you'll do
- Work with vendors to build and carry out business plans across marketing, merchandising, and supply chain activities.
- Review business performance data and turn findings into practical recommendations that support growth and a better customer experience.
- Serve as the main contact for vendor needs while developing strong, collaborative working relationships.
- Support vendors in using Amazon’s tools, policies, and growth pathways while maintaining strong operational standards.
- Help drive process enhancements and innovation efforts that improve outcomes across the broader organization.
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Coordinate with cross-functional partners to address vendor questions and implement solutions.
- Assess performance trends to identify opportunities for expansion and improvement.
- Prepare and share strategic recommendations with vendors.
- Take part in team discussions and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Balance multiple priorities while maintaining high service quality.
Team environment
You’ll join a collaborative team of 6 to 10 Customer Success Managers who support one another’s development and success. The group values innovation, continuous learning, and a healthy work-life balance, and also participates in team events and advancement opportunities.
Basic qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience handling task prioritization, team schedules, time management, and deadline-driven work.
- At least 3 years of vendor-facing or client-facing experience in account management, vendor management, or related areas such as buying, planning, or merchandising.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Experience working with data analysis and presentation tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Preferred qualifications
- Background in retail, e-commerce, or technology.
- Project management experience.
- Ability to use data visualization tools.
- Experience managing relationships with multiple stakeholders.
- Exposure to process improvement or operational excellence initiatives.
Compensation and benefits
Amazon states that final pay will depend on experience, qualifications, and location. The role includes base salary plus sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, Basic Life and AD&D insurance, optional supplemental life plans, EAP, mental health support, a medical advice line, flexible spending accounts, adoption and surrogacy reimbursement, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
Listed annual base salary ranges by location:
- Santa Monica, CA: USD 70,400 to 101,800
- New York, NY: USD 66,300 to 112,000
- Austin, TX: USD 58,200 to 101,800
- Arlington, VA: USD 58,200 to 101,800
- Seattle, WA: USD 80,200 to 101,800
