Role Overview

Join Amazon as a Customer Service Associate serving as an Arabic Moderator. This permanent position is based in South Africa and allows you to work from home while moderating customer reviews and responding to customer inquiries via email in both Arabic and English. You will be expected to meet or surpass quality and productivity standards set by management.

Responsibilities

  • Moderate customer feedback and communications effectively.
  • Provide clear, courteous, and professional communication in Arabic and English.
  • Adhere strictly to company policies and processes.
  • Utilize departmental resources and customer service tools proficiently.
  • Escalate issues to the appropriate teams as needed.
  • Communicate customer-related trends to management proactively.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Consistently exceed customer service expectations and support duties beyond basic responsibilities.

Working Hours and Schedule

The position involves working variable shifts to align with customer demand, including early mornings (starting as early as 5:00 AM) and late evenings (up to 10:00 PM). The workweek requires a minimum of 40 hours, with shift configurations such as four 10-hour days or five 8-hour days. Schedules operate across Sundays to Mondays and may change every few months. Working on national holidays might be required and compensated accordingly.

Candidate Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Legal authorization to work in South Africa.
  • Proficiency in both written Arabic and English at a minimum B2 level.
  • Completion of Grade 12 or an NQF Level 4 qualification or higher.
  • Experience using desktop computers and handling multiple software platforms.
  • Availability for rotating shifts spanning early, late, overnight, weekend, and overtime work.
  • Possession of a quiet, distraction-free workspace equipped with a desk and chair at home.
  • Access to a Fibre internet connection with a minimum of 20 Mbps upload and download speeds; ADSL, LTE, Wi-Fi, or AirFiber connections are not acceptable. The home address must match the address on your profile and internet service statement.
