About the company
Jana Small Finance Bank, formerly known as Janalakshmi Financial Services, is based in Bengaluru and is among the institutions that received RBI’s in-principle approval in 2015 to establish a small finance bank. Founded in 2008, it first grew into India’s largest micro finance institution and earned global recognition for its work in financial inclusion.
The bank secured its final licence in April 2017 and began banking operations on 28 March 2018. Led by MD & CEO Ajay Kanwal, its aim is to emerge as a leading inclusive, digital-first bank serving the many segments and communities of aspirational India.
At present, after the transition period, the bank is supporting its existing 45 lakh customers across 19 states with banking services. Role overview
This position focuses on acquiring customers for gold loans, evaluating pledged gold, supporting loan processing, and maintaining strong customer relationships while meeting sales goals.
Key responsibilities
- Generate new gold-loan business by reaching out to prospects through local marketing and outreach efforts.
- Check the purity and estimated value of gold brought in for lending purposes.
- Handle loan application processing and sustain healthy client relationships to achieve assigned sales targets.
- Clarify loan terms and conditions for customers, respond to their questions, and ensure all actions comply with internal and regulatory requirements.
