Role Overview

As a Customer Delivery Driver at Tesco’s Llandudno Junction Superstore, you will serve as the primary representative on the road, bringing orders directly to customers' homes. This position involves more than just driving; it requires delivering excellent service with a positive attitude, managing physical tasks, and adapting to changing daily routines. The work is largely independent, supported by a team at the store.

• Monday: 18:30 to 22:30
• Tuesday: 17:30 to 21:30
• Wednesday: 17:30 to 22:30
• Thursday: 17:30 to 21:30
• Friday: 17:30 to 22:30
• Saturday: 17:30 to 21:30

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and order of your delivery van, trays, and work area to ensure customers receive items in perfect condition.
• Load the van carefully and perform all necessary safety checks to ensure roadworthiness and reliability before delivery.
• Communicate any changes in orders, substitutions, or short-dated items to customers with friendliness and clarity, offering refunds as needed to maintain satisfaction.
• Handle products attentively to preserve quality and uphold customer trust.
• Deliver orders punctually within scheduled time slots, providing warm and natural customer interaction that makes customers feel valued.

Candidate Requirements

• Ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues to foster a positive team atmosphere and deliver excellent customer service.
• Be engaging and approachable with both customers and team members.
• Adapt quickly to changing customer requirements and embrace shifts or process changes throughout your work.
• Possess a valid UK, EU, or EEA driving licence (manual or automatic) held for at least one year, with no more than three penalty points.
