About the Organization

The Salvation Army has been supporting people in need for over 130 years across Canada and Bermuda. As part of a global Christian church, it serves more than 2 million people each year by providing essentials like food, clothing, and shelter, while also helping people facing unemployment, addiction, and family hardship. The organization keeps evolving to respond to changing community needs and is guided by its values of hope, service, dignity, and stewardship. It welcomes people from all backgrounds and aims to be a place where everyone can belong.

Mission

The Salvation Army’s purpose is to express the love of Jesus Christ, respond to human need, and make a positive difference in communities around the world.

  • Some multi-tasking is required, and there may be little to no travel.
  • There is a possibility of exposure to moderate or severe injury or illness risks, including physical assault, infectious disease, toxic chemicals, moving objects, sharp objects such as needles, electrical hazards, lifting injuries, slippery floors, and repetitive strain injuries affecting the back or wrists.
