Job description
About SHEKO
SHEKO began as an online store and has grown into one of Germany’s fastest-scaling health and nutrition brands. The portfolio includes balance shakes, collagen, probiotics, and supplements that are available through retail partners such as dm, Rossmann, and Müller. The company is founder-led, profitable, and positioned for continued growth.
Role overview
This position is for someone who wants to shape the customer journey and drive conversion performance in a meaningful, data-informed way. The focus is on practical improvements with broad impact, not on small tweaks that do not move the business forward.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain a prioritized CRO backlog using data, customer insights, and funnel analysis, taking ownership of the structure from the ground up.
- Formulate test hypotheses and define the UX direction for each experiment in close partnership with design and development.
- Independently set up and quality-check tests in the company’s tools, and brief developers on implementation requirements.
- Run experiments across the full customer journey, including the homepage, landing pages, product detail pages, checkout, and post-purchase flows.
- Evaluate test outcomes with attention to lifetime value and revenue per customer, not conversion rate alone.
- Translate findings into clear recommendations for the eCommerce Director and other stakeholders.
- Help scale the testing program to 20–25 meaningful experiments per month.
- Stay current on D2C best practices, subscription commerce, and developments in the German eCommerce market.
Requirements
The company is looking for a senior, self-directed person who can influence stakeholders and treat CRO as a strategic growth lever rather than a simple checklist.
- Proven CRO experience in a D2C eCommerce environment, with an understanding of direct response and how it affects testing priorities.
- A holistic mindset with the ability to think across the entire customer journey and identify the most valuable leverage points.
- Strong analytical capability and confident use of GA4, heatmapping tools, and session recording platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Shopify.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across functions and bring stakeholders along.
- A pragmatic approach to incomplete data, using available information to keep progress moving instead of waiting for a perfect setup.
- Fluent German language skills are required; experience in the German market is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Dalton, Intelligems, Hotjar, and/or Microsoft Clarity is a plus.
- Background in health, wellness, or supplements is a plus.
- Experience with subscription commerce and retention metrics is a plus.
Benefits
- Real room to shape the role and the business, with flat hierarchies, open feedback, and the chance to influence a growing company.
- Support for personal and professional development through jointly defined career goals tailored to you.
- A collaborative team culture with a strong hands-on mindset and mutual support.
- A modern office in Hamburg-Winterhude, centrally located near Mühlenkamp and the Alster, plus a flexible dress code.
- Basic workplace refreshments such as water, tea, coffee, and a shake flat, along with regular team events and well-known company parties.
Application note
Applicants are encouraged to submit a CV and, if available, examples of tests or projects they have contributed to.
