About the Organization

This role sits within a resilience-oriented organization dedicated to safeguarding people, operations, assets, and reputation through proactive risk control and disciplined crisis response. The work involves close coordination with teams across operations, risk, security, legal, compliance, communications, human resources, IT, facilities, and executive leadership to maintain continuity during disruptive events.

Role Overview

The organization is looking for an experienced Crisis Management Manager to own crisis readiness, response, and recovery efforts. In this position, you will shape crisis frameworks, direct emergency response actions, handle high-pressure incidents, and help the business continue operating through security events, operational interruptions, or reputation-related issues.

Core Responsibilities

  • Create and roll out crisis management strategies, policies, response frameworks, and playbooks that align with risk tolerance and continuity goals.
  • Coordinate live crisis response during emergencies, disruptions, security incidents, operational breakdowns, and reputational threats.
  • Work with senior leadership and cross-functional teams including operations, risk, legal, communications, IT, security, HR, and outside agencies to keep response efforts aligned.
  • Set up communication pathways, escalation steps, and rapid decision-making structures for urgent situations.
  • Track key metrics such as response speed, recovery speed, incident resolution quality, communication turnaround, and continuity outcomes.
  • Perform risk reviews, scenario planning, business impact analysis, and threat assessments to find weak points and define mitigation actions.
  • Manage incident command arrangements, emergency operations coordination, and on-ground response structures during active crises.
  • Ensure activities remain aligned with legal, safety, governance, and industry expectations related to resilience and risk.
  • Design and run simulations, tabletop exercises, drills, and training sessions to strengthen preparedness across the organization.
  • Maintain crisis records, incident reports, after-action reviews, root-cause analyses, and improvement trackers.
  • Use risk platforms, incident tools, communication systems, Microsoft Office, Power BI, and dashboard reporting to support crisis operations.
  • Prepare executive briefings, situation reports, risk summaries, and strategic recommendations for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Guide, coach, and develop crisis response personnel, emergency coordinators, and cross-functional resilience teams while promoting preparedness and decisive action.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Emergency Management, Business Administration, Security Management, Public Safety, or a similar discipline is preferred.
  • A master’s degree or certifications such as CBCP, CEM, ISO 22301 Lead Implementer, or equivalent credentials are a strong advantage.
  • At least 5 years of experience in crisis management, business continuity, emergency response, risk management, security operations, or a related area.
  • At least 2 years of experience leading crisis teams, emergency planning efforts, or resilience programs is preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of crisis frameworks, business continuity planning, risk assessment, incident command systems, and emergency coordination.
  • Hands-on experience with incident management tools, risk systems, communication platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, and reporting dashboards.
  • Working familiarity with ISO 22301, ISO 31000, emergency preparedness standards, and corporate governance frameworks is beneficial.
  • Strong leadership, judgment, analysis, and problem-solving skills when working under pressure.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder coordination, and situational awareness skills.
  • Ability to stay composed, structured, and effective in complex, fast-changing crisis conditions.
  • Comfort working independently in a remote, high-responsibility environment.

What We Offer

You can expect a competitive compensation package, opportunities to grow professionally in crisis leadership, and exposure to enterprise risk management, business continuity, emergency response, and resilience strategy work.
