Role Overview
We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Creditors Clerk to become part of our Finance team based in Richmond, KwaZulu-Natal. This full-time on-site role runs from 8am to 2pm and commences on 24 August 2026. The successful candidate will handle supplier accounts, ensuring payments are accurately processed and financial data is recorded promptly.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer all Cash on Delivery (COD) supplier transactions and payments.
- Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements and creditor accounts.
- Accurately entering supplier invoices into the accounting system.
- Allocating expenses to appropriate General Ledger accounts.
- Preparing and uploading payments for supplier approval.
- Following up with suppliers to gather outstanding statements and documents.
- Investigating and resolving queries related to supplier accounts and reconciling discrepancies.
- Maintaining organized creditor records and associated documents.
- Supporting month-end creditor processes and reporting.
- Carrying out additional administrative and finance duties linked to creditors.
Minimum Requirements
- At least five years’ experience in a Creditors Clerk or related accounting role.
- Thorough understanding of accounts payable and creditor reconciliations.
- Strong administrative capabilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Good numerical skills and accounting knowledge.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Capability to work autonomously while managing multiple tasks.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive attitude toward identifying and resolving issues preemptively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping.
- Experience with Pastel or Sage accounting systems.
- Background in mining, construction, or plant hire industries advantageous.
