About the Role

This role sits within a creative team that supports a global sales organization by helping advertisers build work that feels native to Reddit while still delivering measurable business results. The team collaborates with sales, marketing, product, and advertisers to shape campaigns, creative direction, and platform-specific storytelling.

The opening is for a Creative Strategist focused on Reddit’s Finance business. The person in this role will help define creative direction for finance advertisers, work alongside sales teams on Reddit-native concepts, and guide brands on how to participate authentically in the platform’s communities.

Location: Remote, East Coast; New York is preferred.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop creative strategies and campaign ideas that help finance advertisers appear genuine and relevant on Reddit.
  • Work closely with sales and cross-functional partners on pitches, RFP responses, presentations, workshops, and client-facing narratives.
  • Serve as a creative advisor and subject matter expert on Reddit for finance clients and external stakeholders.
  • Create strategic storylines, presentation assets, and Reddit-first ideas that can influence business outcomes.
  • Train internal sales teams and outside partners on creative best practices and on using Reddit effectively as a brand platform.
  • Collaborate with senior strategists across large accounts and different verticals to support ongoing creative strategy needs.

What You Bring

  • Strong knowledge of Reddit, online culture, and community-led platforms.
  • Excellent ability to tell stories, present ideas, and communicate with clients.
  • Prior experience working with sales or other cross-functional partners in client-facing or pre-sales settings.
  • Confidence managing projects, deadlines, and presentation building independently.
  • Solid understanding of platform ecosystems and how brands operate across social and media channels.
  • Comfort working in environments that are fast-moving, resourceful, and sometimes undefined.
  • A portfolio that shows strategic thinking and creative problem-solving.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of experience in advertising, media, social, public relations, or creative strategy.
  • Experience creating and pitching strategy-led presentations to clients.
  • Good understanding of brands, agencies, and media/platform ecosystems.
  • Ability to handle several projects at once.
  • Working knowledge of Google Slides.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Background in creative strategy or platform work at a social, media, or ad-tech company.
  • Experience supporting finance advertisers.
  • Experience partnering with sales teams in pre-sales situations.
  • Professional writing experience for digital or social channels.

Pay and Compensation

This position may cover more than one career level. Along with base salary, it is eligible for equity in the form of restricted stock units and commission.

The listed base salary range for U.S.-based candidates is $115,500 to $161,700 USD. Final compensation will depend on factors such as skills, experience depth, and relevant credentials.
