Role Summary
We seek a social-first Content Strategist to lead and shape Plant People's presence on Instagram and TikTok. This role involves developing high-impact stories that nurture engagement, loyalty, and growth. You will build and manage a content creation network, design efficient workflows, and establish scalable systems during a rapid brand expansion phase. A strong balance of executive strategy, hands-on creation, and team leadership is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the social content strategy on Instagram and TikTok, defining how the brand communicates and shares its narrative.
- Formulate and manage a content production ecosystem, including photographers, videographers, and creative collaborators.
- Produce clear, actionable briefings to facilitate efficient, quality content delivery.
- Create original content when necessary, adeptly using tools like iPhone cameras and CapCut editing software without relying on extensive crews.
- Collaborate with Brand, Paid, and Digital teams to ensure content cohesion across campaigns and advertising materials.
- Support influencer and user-generated content (UGC) strategies from sourcing talent to briefing and performance management.
- Oversee the content calendar aligning with product launches, campaigns, retail timings, and cultural moments.
- Use data to monitor content performance, iterating hooks, formats, and timing to optimize results.
- Keep the brand ahead by understanding trends and platform changes, knowing when to engage or protect brand identity.
- Maintain a consistent, polished editorial tone in all content channels.
Preferred Qualifications
- More than 3 years of experience in social media or content roles, with 1–2 years inside a brand environment (preferably CPG, wellness, beauty, or DTC).
- Proven expertise in both content creation and leadership, demonstrated through a diverse portfolio.
- Strong strategic skills: capable of planning content calendars and channel strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Hands-on proficiency in producing content using mobile devices and editing software such as CapCut.
- Deep understanding of Instagram and TikTok dynamics, including successful content formats and native platform behavior.
- Exceptional writing skills with an acute editorial awareness for captions, hooks, and scripts.
- Experience managing creators and UGC efforts including sourcing, briefings, and monitoring outcomes.
- Ability to leverage data for engagement and conversion-driven content rather than just aesthetics.
