Job description
About Airbnb
Airbnb began in 2007 when two hosts opened their San Francisco home to three guests. Since then, it has expanded into a global community of more than 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals across nearly every country.
The Team You’ll Join
You will be part of Airbnb’s Marketing Creative Studio, a group focused on telling the brand’s story through standout content. The studio creates animation, film, and design for product launches, social content, and major campaigns. In this role, you will work closely with Program Management, Communications, and Marketing to deliver content that moves at the pace of Airbnb’s product releases.
What You’ll Do
As Creative Production Lead, you will act as a dedicated producer within the studio and own production from initial planning through final delivery for launch content, social announcements, and digital events. You will connect creative teams with cross-functional partners, helping ensure animation and film assets are delivered on schedule and to a very high standard. A major goal of the role is to execute the October launch cycle smoothly and become a trusted production partner across the company.
Core Work
- Lead production for product social content and launch cycles, keeping timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder alignment on track from concept to completion.
- Oversee sizzle reels, launch announcement animations, and teaser films for livestreamed and digital events while maintaining a high standard of storytelling and craft.
- Collaborate with Program Management, Communications, Marketing, and other partners to align release cycles and ensure production supports launch needs.
- Handle animation-focused workstreams and step into film production when needed in a fast-moving studio setting.
- Support design production work and contribute across multiple content formats.
- Source, manage, and coordinate external production partners as needed.
- Teach stakeholders and agencies the project process and usage guidelines.
- Review, organize, and prioritize feedback from stakeholders as work progresses.
- Work with creatives, producers, program managers, product design stakeholders, legal, and other cross-functional partners to move projects through completion.
- Maintain a highly structured workflow with strong operational discipline at every stage.
- Plan and deliver integrated productions across film, video, social, design, illustration, animation, product demos, and related formats.
Experience and Qualifications
You should bring deep production experience, especially in animation and/or film, ideally from an in-house brand or creative studio. The role also calls for experience delivering sizzle reels, launch animations, teaser content, and other high-visibility assets for product launches or large digital and livestreamed events. You’ll need a strong record of working across Product, Communications, and Marketing, along with the ability to contribute to and assess design work across formats.
Experience from a consumer technology or brand-led company is strongly preferred. You must be comfortable working West Coast hours and traveling to Airbnb’s San Francisco office during major launch windows. Additional strengths include experience delivering multi-platform campaigns and experiences, creating animated assets, collaborating with illustrators and motion graphics teams, and producing live-action, demo, and digital content for social, web, and other channels.
Figma experience is strongly preferred. Familiarity with Business Affairs, Copywriting, Art Direction, and Design is also important, along with strong production planning, scenario planning, budget forecasting, resourcing, and actualization skills. A solid understanding of integrated production, production terminology, and end-to-end process is expected. A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent mix of education and progressive relevant experience is required.
Location and Work Model
This is a remote-eligible role within the United States. You may occasionally be asked to work from an Airbnb office or attend offsites, based on agreement with your manager. To be eligible, you must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity, and you should be flexible to work West Coast hours as needed. Eligibility may vary depending on the employing Airbnb entity.
Inclusion and Accessibility
Airbnb welcomes applicants from a wide range of backgrounds and believes diverse perspectives strengthen the work. The company also supports an inclusive application and interview process. Candidates who need a reasonable accommodation because of a disability may contact Airbnb directly for assistance with the application process.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range for this role is USD 160,000 to 200,000. Actual pay depends on factors such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market conditions, and the range may change over time. This position may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
